Copeland Baton Sintered Stone Boat Shaped Top Table

Copeland Baton Sintered Stone Boat Shaped Top Table

Baton takes its inspiration from the endless flow of the infinity symbol. It is conceived of as identical segments, each one resting on the next to produce impressive rigidity within a delicate, modern aesthetic. When assembled, Baton’s innovative base forms a seamless ring of support with no clear beginning or end.
Baton is crafted in solid American black walnut hardwood or cherry hardwood with five finishes or oak hardwood with five finishes. The finish is GREENGUARD Certified for low chemical emissions. The table is topped with a 12mm sintered stone top (sintered stone tops are imported).

Why Sintered Stone?

  1. Impact Resistant: Unlike porcelain, ceramic, or marble, which can be prone to chipping or cracking under heavy use, sintered stone is highly resistant to impact and mechanical stress.
  2. Non-Porous: While natural stone surfaces like marble or granite are porous and can absorb liquids, requiring regular sealing, sintered stone is non-porous. This means it is inherently resistant to liquids, oils, and harsh chemicals, making it far easier to maintain than natural stone or even quartz or porcelain, which can discolor over time. This resistance extends to UV rays, ensuring that sintered stone
will not fade or change color when exposed to sunlight, a common issue with other surfaces.
  3. Heat Resistant: Sintered stone can withstand extreme temperatures without damage, making it an excellent choice for kitchen, dining, or other surfaces where temperature fluctuations are common. Additionally, because it is formed under extreme heat, sintered stone does not off-gas or release harmful fumes when exposed to high temperatures, ensuring a safer, healthier environment.
  4. Environmentally Friendly: Natural stone extraction can be resource-intensive, and quartz often contains resins derived from petroleum products. Sintered stone is made from natural minerals and does not require the use of synthetic chemicals or adhesives. Additionally, the manufacturing process generates minimal waste, making it a sustainable choice for eco-conscious consumers looking for high-performance surfaces without compromising the planet.
